Desert Island Discs for Refugees

October 23, 2009

This week our favourite project is Refugee Radio, a social enterprise based in Brighton and Hove.

It uses radio and the web to give refugees and asylum seekers a chance to share their stories about life and culture in their home countries and their experiences of living in the UK.  It’s also about encouraging understanding and belonging in communities to help tackle racism.

This is a great combination of oral history, music and community projects.
